Hot Keyword Hits. People Disgust Me.

UPDATE:

Because of the random nature and content of our blog, Dez and I have started noticing some interesting keywords that have directed traffic to our site. The following hilarious, but disturbing, search terms come from reports that show us how people get to ZebraDetox.

Prepare yourself. Most are the result of the sexual content of some of my previous blog posts (which satirize the music/entertainment industry rousing the sexual attention of America with underage teens). These are all real search terms that crazy people from across the world are actually googling.. and then being directed to this blog. All of these keywords have sent soon-disappointed probable pedophiles (propeds) to our site.

The American Dream

The American Dream Film is an eye-opening documentary that delivers a dark [even scary] message through a witty and fun cartoon medium. Although this video was made before the Occupy Wall Street protests, and never uses these terms, it still helps define who the “1%” and the “99%” are. Everyone should take 30 minutes to watch this educational film. Did you know that The Federal Reserve is a privately-owned bank that prints and controls all of the money in the US? That a handful of individuals behind the Fed have a firm grasp over our government, our banks, and our entire economy? It’s time for America to wake up.

College Grads: Quarter Life Crisis in America!!

Graduating from college sucks because you are thrown into the “real world” which is just a fancy word for hell. Working in a cubicle for 40+ hours a week while paying off student loans at $12/hr is a sh#ty way of life. Shoot me in the face. Some people can stand it, but I didn’t sign up to sit in front of a computer, get obese, and obtain diabetes. While at the same time being being controlled by A-holes with low T. I guess it’s time to apply for that stripper job I always see posted on Craigslist. At least they probably don’t drug test…

Right now, with a college degree, you can either get a minimum wage paying job at Burger King… or a minimum wage paying job working 60 hour weeks at a call center. I know, it’s called “getting your foot in the door,” but the work/pay scale is ridiculous and life is worth a little more to me. But wait- even if you wanted that S###y job, you can’t get it anyway. We have outsourced every job in America.

If life really sucks and you’re jobless & ugly, with morals, there is always option C (living at home). I choose option C!

Sore Loser Beats Up Son

Is this guy serious? Steven Wilson is the name of the 52-year-old “father” who was seen assaulting his son in the hallway of his high school. Parents reported that Wilson and his eighth-grade son were walking down the hallway when Wilson forcefully grabbed his son’s arm and began punching him the face repeatedly. Parents had to intervene before the “fight” was broken up. Wilson was sent to jail with bail of $10,000 to get out with “conditions.” Luckily his battered son did not need medical attention. Tough little lad, taking a pounding from a pissed off father. I would really like to see someone like this Wilson guy hitting their child like that in front of me. Not only is it wrong, but it is sickening. How dare you put your hands on a child! Who cares if he didn’t meet your standards on your stupid baseball game. It’s a game you jerk! Wilson is a sore loser who needs to be taken into a cell with a guy named Bubba who loves baseball and will use him for batting practice. This is horrible. I feel this child won’t be getting the justice he deserves. Big deal, so your Dad goes to jail for 90 days and pays the government $30,000. That doesn’t take away the emotional and physical damage that has been inflicted upon him. What a waste of skin and air! I don’t understand what posesses someone to physcially abuse their child. Pick on someone your own size, like the other parents that came to your child’s defense. It is a miracle another Dad didn’t beat your ass as bad (if not worse) than you did your own son. If you want your retribution Son of Wilson, trust me, there are plenty of people that will treat Wilson the way he deserves- including myself.

The government decided that the end of the world isn’t coming fast enough, so they paid some scientists to rush the process. The U.S. government actually PAID scientists to take the deadly bird flu and experiment on it, see how deadly they could really make it. We now know that these experiments were successful, and at Erasmus University Medical Center in the Netherlands and the University of Wisconsin-Madison – there is now a strain of the flu so ghastly that the effects it could have on this world is unspeakable… or at least nobody is willing to speak about the effects of this new man-made flu. The original strain of the H5N1 strain of avian influenza could only be transmitted through close physical contact. The new, human-created strain is airborne, and can be easily be transmitted through sneezes or coughs. Granted, all of this research was all done with the “best of intentions,” but even the best of intentions can have the direst circumstances.

On Tuesday, the government “asked” these scientists not to make their work public. While Federal officials concede to the fact that this research could be potentially helpful to the populace, they are more concerned that these findings would be devastating in the hands of bio-terrorists. Scientists are a little disgruntled. They believe this information should be shared, especially in regions of the world where bird flu – and other flu – epidemics usually occur. Sharing the research could help other scientists further the progress in creating vaccines.

Normally, researchers would publish their work in the Science and Nature journals and from there this information could be dispersed to the world’s most brilliant minds. However, upon recommendation by America’s biosecurity advisors that only general information about this research be published in these journals, many scientists are left in an uncomfortable position. In a statement this week, Dr. Bruce Alberts (editor-in-chief of Science journal) had this to say: “It’s very important to get this information out to all the people around the world who are living with this virus and are working on it.” (more…)

An Open Letter To Chick-Fil-A

Earlier this year, it came to light that the popular fast food chain, Chick-Fil-A, openly supports anti-gay organizations and condemns the homosexual lifestyle. Finally, people have started to take more notice of the restaurant’s bigoted views. The following open letter to Chick-Fil-A has been making it’s rounds on the internet lately after being published on Tumblr by gay-rights activist and blogger, John Paul. It’s a call-to-action for the LGBT community and allies to boycott the restaurant chain. His original article has been republished here with kind permission:

“To Chick-Fil-A, Truett Cathy, and the WinShape Foundation:

It is with a heavy heart that I write to you saying that I can no longer, in good conscience, patronize your establishment. Nor can I partake of your delicious, succulent, juicy chicken.

I mean, I would like to. Oh trust me, I would! But the beef (ha!) I have with you isn’t about your chicken. Your chicken is actually quite good. Your ongoing support of anti-gay organizations and hate groups, however, is what has left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

I had deduced that your business was religious – meaning I noticed it was always closed on Sundays and I just sort of guessed. And that’s fine. I live in Oklahoma and I know plenty of Christian businesses who do the same thing. That much never bothered me.

I never really knew what Chick-Fil-A’s opinion of gays was, but I probably wouldn’t have cared. You are free to have whatever rampantly bigoted views you choose to hold, and I have the right to call them just that. If one of the Chick-Fil-A cows were a homophobe, I’d hope he’d have the common courtesy to at least keep that to himself and we would be fine.

But then you had to do it to me. You just had to push me away. You went and donated $2 million, money that customers like me helped you make, to anti-gay organizations like the Pennsylvania Family Institute. These are people who have said that striking down Prop 8 was a direct hit to human civilization. They’ve said same-sex marriage threatens children, hurts families, and punishes society by caving in to a radical sexual revolution.

I’ve checked your tab, and apparently that’s not the only anti-gay organization you support:

* Focus On The Family: $12,500
* Exodus International: $1,000

Oh, that Exodus International one is a low blow, Chick-Fil-A, because that group’s entire purpose is to eliminate and “cure” homosexuality like it’s a mental disorder. (more…)

BP Caps Oil Spill: A temporary fix & waiting disaster?

FINALLY! For the first time in 86 days, oil has stopped gushing into the Gulf of Mexico. Good news.. but a haunting feeling tells me that this is nothing but a temporary fix that may be another disaster waiting to happen. BP is unsure if their cap will be able to withstand the pressure of the oil trying to push its way to the surface. If not, the results could be even more catastrophic than the previous tragedy that has destroyed the Gulf’s environment, economy, and lives of thousands of people. Even if it is successful, this disaster is no where near over and will affect the Gulf area for years. Read a full report here.

Polly Hates Tar Balls

This past Monday night, I drove with a friend 14.5 hours down to New Orleans to investigate the oil spill in the Gulf myself. We met up with the leaders of the Emergency Committe to Stop the Gulf Oil Disaster to stand against BP and their immoral tactics. I was immediately immersed in a world of political and environmental activism that has been heart-wrenching, eye-opening, and quite frankly- kick-ass and insane.

Two days ago, on Tuesday, we made a road-trip from NOLA to a small Gulf beach town in Mississippi called Waveland. The organization had received a report from a film-maker who had visited the site to document the oil washing onshore. Because of its almost remote location, this town is not a media hot-spot or a threat to the image of BP. Therefore, we were able to obtain footage and witness first-hand a mix of crude and weathered oil that had washed up on shore without interference of rent-a-cops denying our first amendment. Because of the tight security and media blackout by BP in other locations, this was a rare and amazing experience. Here are some of the pictures I was able to take on-site:

BP Oil Spill – Alright, I’m Pissed

Meet baby ‘Tisha. She is a new-born Floridian who, thanks to the greedy ##&!s at BP, is going to grow into an oil-covered mutant with three boobs, a split tongue, and dysfunctional kidneys [think "Splice," but actually scary]. And like me, she’s super-pissed about the current environmental disaster and that it is taking so long for a comprehensive solution to be found.

Luckily, ‘Tisha will probably also turn into an environmental activist who will use her slimy super-powers to help save Earth. And at this point, it looks like we need all the help we can get:

- Gulf Raped by Oil -

Seriously, if this whole mess in the Gulf doesn’t make you want to vomit with frustration and/or disgust then you’re probably someone too ignorant to know the environmental consequences of the oil spill, and this world would be better off without you. So instead of throwing your next plastic bag out your car window, wrap it around your face. Or spray the contents of your aerosol can down your throat. Destroy yourself instead of the planet.

For those of us who are fearful.. who feel sick even thinking about this problem.. what do we do? As much as it sucks to hear, one thing NOT to do is boycott. Even with as much hatred that I [and hopefully you] feel when seeing the BP logo, the unfortunate truth is that boycotting the gas giant is really only hurting your local businessmen. Yes, it lets the company know you’re angry, but there are other ways to show your emotion. Your unspent money is coming out of the pockets of the individuals who own the gas stations and they are typically stuck in long-term contracts with BP. Read this news article for more info.

So the question remains- what do we do? This disaster serves as a warning not only to America, but the entire world, about our dependency of oil and fossil fuels. This should be a final awakening that our overzealous use of oil is real, and that it is beyond time changes be made. Our over-consumption has not only contributed to global warming, but also an obvious decrease of natural resources [the reason for drilling so close off-shore in the first place].

What we need to do is heed Nature’s warning: Enough is Enough.

I’m not just talking about finding individual and communal ways to decrease oil usage, such as riding bikes or carpooling, but also becoming more eco-conscious in all aspects of your life. We can make a change. All of us. A vague answer? Maybe. But unless you know the mechanics of actually containing the spill and cleaning it up, it’s the best we have. So let’s do it.
